The school follows the Ministry of Education's recommended curriculum for Pre-Primary and Primary levels, covering core subjects alongside practical learning to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving. Digital literacy, moral education, and leadership development are integrated to prepare students for the modern world. Co-curricular activities such as Arts, Music, Physical Education, and Entrepreneurship foster creativity and holistic growth. Interactive, student-centered teaching methods, including project-based learning, ensure engagement, while regular assessments track progress. The curriculum also promotes multilingual proficiency with additional language options like French or local dialects.
The stages of teaching at our school are:
1. Foundational Learning:
We believe that the primary school is where children build the foundation for all future learning. Key subjects like Mathematics, English Language, and Basic Science are introduced, setting the stage for critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It's crucial that children grasp these basics, as they are the building blocks for more advanced concepts.
2. Numeracy Skills:
Learners are taught basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. These skills are essential for everyday tasks and more complex mathematical problems in higher grades. Practical applications, like using money or telling time, reinforce these concepts.
3. Continuous Assessment:
The academic progress of children in primary school is often monitored through continuous assessment. This includes regular classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests that help teachers identify areas where a child may need additional support. Continuous assessment also reduces pressure by spreading evaluations throughout the term.
4. Holistic Development:
Academics in our school are not limited to core subjects. Schools often integrate subjects like Art, Music, Physical Education, and Social Studies to ensure holistic development. These subjects help children explore their creativity, stay active, and understand the world around them.
